Copy Between Environments
Use Tools → Copy Environments in Studio to copy data from one environment to another within the same project.
What you can copy
Section titled “What you can copy”- Locales — language configuration for the environment
- Schema — content models, taxonomies, components, fields, and workflows
- Entries — content and field data (all models or selected models)
- Assets — asset records (storage URLs can be reused when files are shared)
- UI translations — Studio UI string keys and per-locale values
Event hooks are not triggered for content created by the copy tool.
Workflow
Section titled “Workflow”- Open Tools → Copy Environments.
- Choose a source and target environment.
- Choose a copy mode (Selective, Replace, or Reset) and what to copy.
- Click Preview Copy to see missing prerequisites, conflicts, and plan limit impact.
- Resolve conflicts (skip, merge, or replace per category) and click Start Copy.
Plan limits
Section titled “Plan limits”Entry, model, taxonomy, and component limits apply at the project level (across all environments). The preview step shows how many new items the copy would add and blocks the job if your plan or overage budget would be exceeded.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Copying requires the Copy Between Environments capability (included for Owners and Admins by default).
