Slack

Connect Slack to send project notifications to your team’s channels. Once connected, you can create Event Hooks with a Slack action to post messages when entries or workflows change.

Each project has its own Slack connection. Connecting Slack in one project does not affect other projects.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack.
  2. Click Connect Slack.
  3. Review the app permissions in Slack and approve the installation.
  4. You are returned to the Studio. A success message confirms the connection.

After connecting, the Slack settings page shows the connected workspace name, team ID, and when the connection was made.

To remove the Slack connection from a project:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack.
  2. Click Disconnect Slack.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Disconnecting removes the bot token for this project. Existing Event Hooks with Slack actions will fail until you reconnect or update those hooks.

Once Slack is connected:

  1. Go to Settings → Event Hooks.
  2. Create or edit an Event Hook.
  3. Choose Slack as the action type.
  4. Select the channel that should receive notifications.
  5. Save the hook.

When the hook’s trigger fires, Contismo posts a formatted message to the selected channel.

Connecting or disconnecting Slack requires the Manage Integrations permission. Team members without this permission can view the Slack settings page but cannot change the connection.

Creating Event Hooks with Slack actions requires webhook permissions. See Event Hooks for details.
