Locales
Locales let you manage content in more than one language or region within the same project.
Use them when your content needs localized values, such as translated titles, body copy, or market-specific messaging.
Add a locale
Section titled “Add a locale”To add a locale to your project:
- Go to Settings → Locales.
- Click Add Locale.
- Choose the language or locale you want to support.
- Save the locale.
Once added, the locale becomes available when working with localized content.
Localized and non-localized fields
Section titled “Localized and non-localized fields”Not every field needs to vary by locale.
- Localized fields can have different values in each locale
- Non-localized fields keep the same value across all locales
This allows you to translate only the parts of an entry that need to change, while keeping shared fields consistent.
Work with localized entries
Section titled “Work with localized entries”You can work with localizations in a few different ways, depending on where you are in the Studio.
For example, you can:
- select a locale while browsing entries
- open the localizations for an entry
- create a localized version if one does not already exist
When editing a localized entry, update the fields for that locale and save your changes as usual.
For AI-assisted entry translation, use Translate Content to translate selected entries into one or more target locales. If you want translation to happen automatically when content changes, use Autotranslation Rules.
For reusable interface text, such as navigation labels, buttons, and shared messages, use UI Translations instead of storing the same copy inside entry content.
