Notes

Notes help your team discuss a saved entry without leaving the Studio. Use them for context, questions, handoff details, and other internal follow-up that belongs with the entry.

If you want actionable work with assignees, statuses, or comments, see Tasks.

When you open an existing saved entry in the Studio, the editor sidebar includes a Notes card.

Open Notes to view internal notes for that entry in a full-screen dialog.

  1. Open the entry in the Studio.
  2. In the sidebar, open Notes.
  3. Write your note under Add a Note.
  4. Click Add Note.

With notes, you can:

  • add internal notes to a saved entry
  • edit your own notes
  • mention teammates with @

Notes are not assignable and do not use task statuses such as Todo, In Progress, or Complete.

If someone mentions you in a note, that mention appears on the Mentions page in the Studio.

This helps you keep up with note discussions even when you are not currently looking at the entry.

Permissions depend on your role in the project, but the current behavior follows these general rules:

  • people who can edit the entry can view and add notes
  • you can edit your own notes

Exact role names depend on how your project team is set up.

  • Tasks — create tasks, work through change requests, and manage follow-up
  • Entries — create, edit, and localize entries
  • Team — who can edit and review
